Performance of QA inspection using CMM equipment (Bridge, Faro). Develop and improve part specific inspection techniques and documentation, integrates customer and company requirements for production parts and processed as assigned.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to precarious places and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate requiring hearing protection in certain areas.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience in inspection or machining (preferred)
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining perspective
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Direct problem solving, searches for root cause and addresses issues.
  • Very proficient with Microsoft office products, document control systems, and databases


Duties:
  • Perform inspection per part requirements and document all results per company requirements.
  • Assist in developing, coordinating, and deploying work instructions and procedures, in process inspection plans, and associated process controls for assigned product lines.
  • Active participation in company Zero Defects program – involvement in developing solutions to process issues that create scrap/MRB/rework.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility:

Provide direction to other individuals. Supervises, hires, trains, provides work direction and problem-solving assistance. Oversees the daily operations of other staff, including scheduling and assigning work. Manage performance, salary, promotions, transfers, demotions, or terminations.

Experience: Previous inspection experience preferred.

Education: High School or GED preferred.
