Laborshed Studies

Laborshed studies were completed and compiled in 2022 to illustrate the characteristics of the labor force market in the Northwest Iowa Region. 

A laborshed is defined as the area or region from which an employment center draws its commuting workers. They also show underemployment, availability of labor and likeliness of the employed or not employed to change or accept employment.
