These individuals manufacture our larger plastic products. Qualified applicants must be at least 18 years of age. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, twist and move about the facility. Employee regularly uses hands to finger, handle or feel; reaches with hands and arms. Must be able to push, pull and move equipment and /or supplies in excess of 70 lbs. and have ability to lift/carry up to 70 lbs. Must be able to distinguish colors. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus. The employee is occasionally required to operate a computer, use the telephone, sit, kneel, squat and lay. Frequent exposure to elements such as odors, oil, fumes and noise.

Duties:

DUTIES

1.Inspects all hand tools, hoses, and equipment for signs of wear or misuse at start of shift. If not in proper condition contacts Lead Worker.

2.When applicable performs Oven Start Up and/or Oven Shut Down.

3.Reads shop orders to determine work order number, part number, and part description including weight, color, type of resin, proper mold, vent length and any other specifications.

4.With supervision of Lead Worker, makes mold changes using impact and open-end wrenches. Operates hoist and/or forklift to move and mount mold.

5.Checks to determine if needed items are present and in ready to use condition including: inserts, mold clamps, flange bolts, etc.

6.Programs oven arm with information from work order including cook time, temperature, water, rotation, and cooling time.

7.Weighs resin powder on digital scale to the 1/10th of a pound. Fills oven mold with resin powder. Adds any inserts or necessary items to be installed.

8.Monitors oven arm during cook and cooling cycles.

9.When cooking and cooling is complete, de-molds part by loosening bolts with impact and removing part. Checks part to determine if properly cooked.

10.Inspects part for any defects including warp, debris, release pull off, dents in mold, etc. Determines if release needs to be applied or removed. Checks vents and flanges.

11.Toward shift end records scrap and parts from casting sheet and from Finishing Operator into TCM.

12. Maintains organized work area including arranging parts and production flow.

13.Cleans and sweeps area, disposing of garbage as needed.

14.Operates forklift and other material handling equipment, as needed.
