This position requires knowledge of services and activities of economic development, public administration and local government operations plus the ability to oversee and manage operation, services and activities of the Osceola County Economic Development Commission.
Osceola County is located in the northwest corner of Iowa with the county seat located in Sibley. The community offers an excellent educational system, a diverse business structure, family-oriented community facilities, quality health care and recreational opportunities for all ages. Osceola County is home to Hawkeye Point: the “High Point” of Iowa. This is a smaller community striving for continued economic growth.

- Bachelor's Degree in business/finance or commensurate experience in economic development, marketing and public relations
- The ability to work with various community leaders to advance and promote Osceola County forming strategic partnerships.
- The ability to develop effective relationships with existing businesses and industries to stay abreast of their needs and opportunities.
- The ability to develop and implement plans to solicit new business and industry to locate in Osceola County.
- The ability to write, edit and successfully submit grant applications
- Evidence of leadership and the ability to manage multiple projects
- Excellent communication and public relations skills
