And that includes you. We are currently looking for Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to help support our clients and team members. DSPs provide support to our clients based on their individual goals, which always include making sure their physical, mental, emotional, and social needs are met. To be considered for the position, eligible candidates must have the following core requirements: 1. High school diploma or ability to obtain GED/HSED 2. Ability to complete orientation training, a medication administration course, the full MANDT training as determined by supervisor, and other agency requirements. 3. Basic computer skills. 4. Confident writing and verbal communication skills 5. Sound judgment and problem-solving skills. 6. A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, & proof of insurance. 7. Ability to pass a health assessment, drug screening, & criminal background check The actual job responsibilities for this position are varied and lengthy, and we can go over them with you in person if you qualify for an interview. Most of what you will do in this role can be taught; what we are looking for are qualities and gifts that cannot be trained: 1. a love of variety and people 2. plenty of empathy, compassion, and enthusiasm 3. a passion for both teaching and learning 4. the ability to handle surprises, challenges, and opportunities with a contagiously positive attitude 5. a respectful appreciation for details and organization
