A Concrete Finisher places and finishes surfaces of poured concrete, such as floors, sidewalks, roads, or curbs using a variety of hand and power tools. Align forms for sidewalks, curbs, or gutters; patch voids; use saws to cut expansion joints.

Job Requirements Experience with custom, job-built forms according to application Carry own tools (tool belt, hammer, square, level, chalk line, pry bar, trowel, floats) Reliable transportation for travel up to 75 miles to job site Lift, up to 50 pounds, and up to 90 pounds of material w/ assistance; stamina to stoop, kneel, reach, and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions

Duties: Primary Responsibilities Set and align concrete forms to desired pitch and depth Signal truck driver to position truck to facilitate pouring concrete, and move chute to direct concrete on forms, and guides hose on concrete pump truck Spread, level, vibrate and smooth concrete, using rake, shovel, power vibrator, hand, power trowel/riding trowel, hand or power screed, and float Mold expansion joints and edges, using edging tools, jointers, and straightedge Produce rough concrete surface, using broom Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills and other fixtures in freshly poured concrete and/or pattern or stamp surface to provide a decorative finish Monitor environmental variables during concrete curing Layout joints and saw-cut as prescribed in specifications Chip, scrape, and grind high spots, ridges, and rough projections to finish concrete, using pneumatic chisels, power grinders, or hand tools. Fill and rub voids in poured walls with patch cement to provide a consistent surface Apply hardening, sealing & cleaning compounds to cure concrete surface; waterproof or restore surface. Cut out damaged areas, drill holes for reinforcing rods, and position reinforcing rods to repair concrete, using power saw and drill Clean and maintain company owned concrete tools and equipment

Location: Osceola

Experience: 2 years or more

Education: Must know that a job is a commitment to be there every day on time and do your best.

Wage: starts at $15/hr

Type: Commercial Construction

Shift: Days, typically 7am-4pm
